Cystatin-C Protein is a 14.85 kDa protein containing 133 amino acids fused to a 8 aa N-Terminal His-tag.

K9 Cystatin-Cwas filtered (0.4?m) and lyophilized from 0.5mg/ml supplied in 20mM TRIS, 50mM NaCl, pH 7.5.

Quality Control Test
BCA to determine quantity of the protein.
SDS PAGE to determine purity of the protein.

Solubility
Add deionized water to prepare a working stock solution of 0.5 mg/ml and let the lyophilized pellet dissolve completely. Product is not sterile! Please filter the product by an appropriate sterile filter before using it in the cell culture.

Store lyophilized Cystatin-C K9 at -20¡ãC. Aliquot the product after reconstitution to avoid repeated freezing/thawing cycles. Reconstituted Cystatin-C can be stored at 4¡ãC for a limited period of time; it does not show any change after two weeks at 4¡ãC.
The lyophilized Cystatin-C remains stable until the expiry date when stored at -20¡ãC.
