Biological Activity
The biological activity was measured in a cell proliferation assay using NIH/3T3 mouse embryonic fibroblasts. The ED50 for this effect is typically 0.05-0.5ug/ml in the presence of 5ug/ml of Recombinant Mouse Klotho and 10 ug/ml of heparin.

Description
Fibroblast Growth Factor-23 Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing a total of 228 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 22.5kDa.
The FGF-23 is and purified by chromatographic techniques.

The protein (0.5mg/ml) was lyophilized from a 0.2?m filtered concentrated solution in PBS, pH 7.4.

Purity
Greater than 95.0% as determined by SDS-PAGE.

Solubility
It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized Fibroblast Growth Factor-23 in sterile 18M¦¸-cm H2O not less than 100ug/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.

Stability
Lyophilized Fibroblast Growth Factor 23 although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18¡ãC. Upon reconstitution FGF-23 should be stored at 4¡ãC between 2-7 days and for future use below -18¡ãC.
For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).
