Biological Activity
The ED50, calculated by the dose-dependant proliferation of BAF3 cells expressing FGF receptors (measured by 3H-thymidine uptake) is <0.5 ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of 2MUnits/mg.

Description
Rat FGF9 Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 205 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 23308 Dalton.
The FGF-9 Mouse Recombinant is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

The FGF-9 was lyophilized from a concentrated (1mg/ml) sterile solution containing 10mM NaP, pH-7.5 &, 75mM Ammonium Sulfate.

Physical Appearance
Sterile Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.

Purity
Greater than 95.0% as determined by(a) Analysis by RP-HPLC.
(b) Analysis by SDS-PAGE.

Solubility
It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized Rat FGF-9 in sterile 18M¦¸-cm H2O not less than 100ug/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.

Stability
Lyophilized Rat Fibroblast Growth Factor-9 although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18¡ãC. Upon reconstitution FGF9 Rat Recombinant should be stored at 4¡ãC between 2-7 days and for future use below -18¡ãC.
For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).
