Biological Activity
The ED50, calculated by the dose-dependent induction of MCF-7 cell proliferation was found to be 0.85ng/ml corresponding to a Specific Activity of 1,176,470IU/mg.

Description
Insulin-Like Growth Factor-II Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 67 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 7505 Dalton.
IGF-II is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

The protein was lyophilized with no additives.

Physical Appearance
Sterile Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.

Purity
Greater than 97.0% as determined by(a) Analysis by RP-HPLC.
(b) Analysis by SDS-PAGE.

Solubility
It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized IGF2 in sterile 18M¦¸-cm H2O at a concentration of 100ug/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.

Stability
Lyophilized IGF-2 although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18¡ãC. Upon reconstitution IGFII should be stored at 4¡ãC between 2-7 days and for future use below -18¡ãC.
