Purpose

This kit is used for the quantitative determination the concentrations of Rat 8-Hydroxy- desoxyguanosine (8-OHdG) in rat serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants, and other biological fluids.
　

Principle of the assay

The kit assays 8-OHdG in the rat samples by the method of colorimetric ELISA. After loading of samples, the 8-OHdG in the standards or samples interact with OPD-substrate solution. Then the enzyme conjugate has been added into wells. After incubation, the reaction is terminated by addition of Stop solution. Determining the absorbance (OD Value) at wave length 490 nm by the microwell reader, and the concentration of 8-OHdG can be calculated according to standard curve.

Kit Performance                                   

1.          Sensitivity: less than 30 pg/ml.

2.          Specificity: simultaneous detection of recombinant or natural 8-OHdG without cross-reaction with other cytokines.

3.          Repeatability: both inter-assay and intra-assay were less than 10 %.
