Description
Cetrorelix acetate is a synthetic decapeptide with gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) antagonistic activity. Cetrorelix acetate is an analog of native GnRH with substitutions of amino acids at positions 1, 2, 3, 6, and 10. The molecular formula is C70H92CIN17O14 (Ac-D-Nal1-D-Cpa2-D-Pal3-Ser4-Tyr5- D-Cit6-Leu7-Arg8-Pro9-D -Ala10-NH2), and the molecular weight is 1431 Dalton, calculated as the anhydrous free base.
Formulation
The Cetrorelix peptide was lyophilized with no additives.
Physical Appearance
Sterile Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.
Greater than 98.0% as determined by(a) Analysis by RP-HPLC.
(b) Analysis by SDS-PAGE.
Solubility
It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized Cetrorelix in sterile 18M¦¸-cm H2O not less than 100 ug/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Stability
Lyophilized Cetrorelix although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18¡ãC. Upon reconstitution Cetrorelix should be stored at 4¡ãC between 2-7 days and for future use below -18¡ãC. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).
