CAT No.BT-CYT-308 |
Macrophage-Colony Stimulating Factor Human Recombinant, M CSF Human, 10ug |
Amino acid sequence
The sequence of the first five N-terminal amino acids was determined and was found to be Met-Glu-Glu-Val-Ser.
Biological Activity
The ED50, calculated by the dose-dependent stimulation of the proliferation of murine M-NFS-60 indicator cells was found to be < 2.0ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of 500,00Units/mg.
Description
Macrophage Colony Stimulating Factor Human Recombinant produced in E.coli is a disulfide linked homodimer, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 2 x 159 amino acids and having a total molecular mass of 36.8 KD.
MCSF is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
The protein was lyophilized with 5mM NaP, pH-8.0 & 100mM NaCl.
Physical Appearance
Sterile Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.
Purity
Greater than 97.0% as determined by:
(a) Analysis by RP-HPLC.
(b) Analysis by SDS-PAGE.
Solubility
It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized M-CSF in sterile 18M¦¸-cm H2O not less than 100ug/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Source
Escherichia Coli.
Stability
Lyophilized Macrophage Colony Stimulating Factor although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below
-18¡ãC. Upon reconstitution MCSF should be stored at 4¡ãC between 2-7 days and for future use below -18¡ãC.
Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
